This Stadium Batu Kawan Penang project was undertaken by joint cooperation between AV Electronics Marketing and its system integrator. A proper PA sound system for stadium could cost more than a millions of ringgit. However the requirement for this project is very simple; they just need a simple system to cover a small area the PA sound. The audio system need to be able to handle a small crowd. Full stadium crowd the coverage area is not required. The coverage only limited to selected sitting area.
With this in mind, we propose the following system into Stadium Batu Kawan; 12 unit of IVA rX-10 loudspeakers is installed. The locations of the loudspeakers are distributed in a very even locations so that each of the sitting area, there's one unit of this speaker.
Powering these speakers is the IVA M-7.0MKII power amplifier. We have three unit of IVA amplifiers to power total of 12 unit of IVA rX-10 speaker. Each of the power amplifier is being tuned by an equalizer. The equalizer model in this project is IVA EQ231. To ensure we get the similar signal from the mixer to get across the power amplifier, we are using signal splitter which is the IVA DA328. This is to ensure that all the power amp and the EQ receive similar good and high quality audio.
We employed a compressor limiter Behringer MDX2600. This is the most important equipment for this system because for such a big venue and a small system, it is very easy for the operator to mishandle the system. We are proposed the UHF wireless mic IVA PRO-UD2 Vocal. This is a very good wireless mic and it's a top of the line product from IVA. It has a good coverage about 80 meters in empty spaces. The sound quality is top-notch. For such big scale project, we do not want to take any risk regarding the transmission stability between the transmitter and the receiver. This is why we are adding the Relacart antenna divider, R14D and shark fin type of antenna system, Relacart R22AU. We install two of this antenna system outside the room and the antenna is being directed to the stand and field.
