This venue is recommended and proposed by Kenneth.
A new restaurant and bar is brewing in No 88, Jalan Tuba Kampung Attap Kuala Lumpur. One of owner of this bar, Ms Angel invited AV Electronics Marketing (AVEM) to visit the venue lot, which used to be a residential in the olden days. The place look dilapidated but this dilapidated look is exactly what the owners want. They have no intention to go for massive make over but choose to preserve the current look and feel.
A visit to the site before renovation starts
We were invited to a site visit to check the layout and understand their requirement for the music playback system. This upcoming restaurant and bar has 3 separate area for 3 different fusion foods and drinks. There are 2 private rooms to serve VIPs or larger group. They also have concern of the volume control mechanism due to the proximity of the bar to the residential area. The owner has a set of portable high power PA system which they plan to setup during special occasions. This portable setup need to be integrated to the background music system. There is also limitation of budget for the background music syetem so we would not be too crazy with the proposal.
After fully understand their requirement, the team in AVEM go back into drawing board to come out an audio system. 12 units of Emix EMWS-884B box speaker to be distributed evenly among the floors and rooms. The distribution of speakers will be; 3 box speakers in the alleyway, 3 at the ground floor indoor, 1 at the front entrance, 3 at the first floor and 1 speaker each for the 2 private rooms. 3 zones system with individual volume control needed to ensure patronages feel confortable. To achieve this, EMMA-835ZSMKII zone mixing amplifier is used to ensure all zone can be controlled. The whole system is being controlled at one spot, which is at the corner on the first floor. We provide 50 Watt volume control EMIX EMV6050 for the two private rooms so the patronage able to tweak the volume accordingly. We also provide a 100 Watt volume control for the 3 speakers at the alleyway.

There is another special requirement for the bar on the first floor. It is intended to be the rock zone and the playback here requires low frequency (bass) reproduction. Hence we add a small 8" Audiocenter TW8 subwoofer as the extension of the bass for the background music system. To ensure the subwoofer fit well with the system, we use digital loudspeaker management Audiocenter BrainCore CU to give correct setting and optimization to the subwoofer. This outlet has been tuned and optimized by AVEM's system engineer.

The wiring of the whole system is assisted by the electrical/CCTV/renovator team. The whole idea is to help the bar owners to save cost since the contractors has been engaged. The bracket of the speaker and the volume controlled also installed by the team. We are able to work efficiently as team as we have provided wiring diagram, meetings and detail instruction of the installation. The crucial part of the installation which is the installation of loudspeakers to the bracket is done by AVEM's team. We familiar with the way the speaker should be tilted therefore, this task must be handed back to our team. Once everything is working well, we give a operation training to the operation team of the bar. This is to ensure the staff of the bar are capable to handle the system on daily basis.
The system perform spectacularly well. The owners are extremely pleased with the results. Most important, this background music playback system is within the budget given to us. We from AVEM are extremely honored for the trust given to us to complete the sound system for Triptyk Indochine Fusion Grill & Tapas Low to Zeroproof Bar.
