The Malaysia Invitational Underwater Hockey Tournament 2022 will be held from 2nd December 2022 till 4th December 2022. The host, Malaysia Underwater Hockey Association, has a pair of Mausound Underwater Loudspeaker but they do not have the equipment to power it. According to the Mausound, the underwater loudspeaker need to have a DSP to ensure audio limiter is enforced to protect the loudspeaker.
The president of Malaysia Underwater Hockey Association, Mr Roshan Babu reaches AV Electronics Marketing to configure the required system for the underwater siren system to work according to their need. First and foremost, the system act as a siren system to notify the players that the game starts or the game need to be halted. This is done by playing Yelp siren through the underwater loudspeaker. During the tournament, there are two matches to be played concurrently at the same pool. The pool will be divide into 3 sections. The left most and right most section will be the playing fields while the middle section of the pool is designated as practice or warm up area. The underwater speakers will be deployed in each playing field. Two underwater loudspeakers need to play a different Yelp tone so the player in each court will not be confused.
Reliably is the utmost concern for this system. Hence, the traditional Class H amplifier IVA TPM-2.3 is used to power the underwater loudspeakers. Class H is one of the proven reliable class of power application technology and it is no doubt it will be the most rugged to this usage. To provide needed DSP setting for the loudspeaker's protection, IVA PRO-26DX Digital Loudspeaker Management is added into the system. It provide precise and accurate audio limiter feature to ensure the speaker is always protected from excessive audio signal. Custom made tone generators are built up from scratches to fulfill the need to user friendliness and availability of 2 Yelp tone. On side note, the underwater hockey team bough EMIX EMPP-59VM for annoucement purpose.
AVEM team is present at the eve of the tournament to assist in the equipment setup and training to the users. AVEM team is present as well on the inaugural date 2nd December 2022 to ensure everything run smoothly and to ensure everyone get the hang on the system, before fully handing over to the team at Malaysia Underwater Hockey Association.
