CEO @ Fahrenheit88, a karaoke outlet under the Neway Group, recently underwent some refurbishment for one of the VIP rooms, and one of the major changes made was an upgrade of their karaoke sound system. CEO @ Fahrenheit88 was Neway’s first signature VIP karaoke outlet, opened more than 10 years ago, and they are now having on going upgrade works in stages to refresh the place to be more attractive to clients and to satisfy their ever increasing demands for better quality.

The particular room that has just been upgraded is room No. 38, one of the VIP rooms. The room was previously 5 small karaoke rooms, and now combined into a single medium-sized party room. The previous sound system was aging and was no longer adequate, and they needed an upgrade to match the room’s status and size. So after all the renovations and interior design was completed, they purchased a BMB karaoke sound system to be installed. Now all the upgrade works have finally been completed and the room is now operational.

The new karaoke sound system consists of 4 units BMB CSP-612 professional standard full range karaoke loud speakers with 400W RMS, as the main system. Each of the 4 units were installed at each corner of the room to ensure even coverage of the room, with the centre area being the loudest so that clients get the best sound and “feel” during their performance. These CSP-612 are very powerful speakers and are actually designed as professional sound reinforcement speakers and tuned for karaoke. There is ample headroom in terms of power and SPL, so clients could turn the sound up if they wanted that Disco dance floor feel.

To make sure that a fuller, more punchy, deeper sound achieved, 2 units of Turbosound M18B active subwoofers were installed below the main screen. And with 550 RMS and 18” drivers, these M18B are really powerful and there was way more than enough headroom for the system. Not only this provided more than enough bass, this configuration also allowed the BMB CSP-612 to perform more efficiently and produce clearer highs, mids and low mids, leaving the lows to the Turbosound subs. This combination of BMB and Turbosound not only produces such a clear, crispy, punchy, yet warm sound quality, it also enables the system to provide sound levels of a mini disco dance floor.

Powering the 4 units BMB CSP-612 is a single unit BMB DAD-950 professional sound reinforcement high power amplifier, and with 1200W per channel @ 4ohm, it has more than enough power for the 4 units of CSP-612. Using a BMB matching amplifier also ensured that the system produced the intended karaoke tuned sound designed by BMB, with enough headroom for the system to operate efficiently and at optimum sound quality..

Combining a BMB professional karaoke sound system with Turbosound subwoofers has ensured the best of sound quality, capability of high sound pressure levels, more than enough headroom for efficiency and audio quality, and optimum system reliability due to the high quality of the products.
