PERAK, MALAYSIA — The Ceremony Hall at the Institut Latihan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia Sultan Azlan Shah (ILKKM SAS) has completed a significant audio upgrade, introducing a modern Topp Pro loudspeaker system driven by a Behringer WING digital mixer. The upgrade enhances the hall’s ability to handle convocations, seminars, institutional events, and large indoor gatherings with improved clarity, coverage, and operational flexibility.
Anchoring the loudspeaker system is a audio signal processor Topp Pro DLM 408 Plus, designed to deliver controlled dispersion and high intelligibility—an essential requirement for speech-heavy events and training sessions. Low-frequency reinforcement is provided by 2 Topp Pro KS18S subwoofers, offering added depth for ceremonial music, multimedia presentations, and cultural performances.
System amplification is handled by 3 Topp Pro TD500.4DSP amplifiers, each featuring onboard DSP for precise tuning, FIR-capable processing, protection management, and remote configuration. These allow the engineering team to optimize presets and room EQ for varying event types, ensuring consistent performance throughout the hall.
To maintain uniform coverage across all seating zones, the installation includes 16 Topp Pro FLX5 speakers line array functioning as front-fills and distributed reinforcement. This ensures listeners at the front rows, outer wings, and secondary seating areas experience the same clarity and tonal balance as those in the main array's direct path.
At the heart of the control workflow is the Behringer WING, selected for its powerful routing architecture, intuitive touchscreen interface, and extensive processing tools. The WING’s flexible channel profiles, onboard FX, and remote control capabilities allow ILKKM’s technical crew to adapt quickly between formal ceremonies, multi-presenter events, and student activities.
Behringer SD16 functions as a digital snake and input/output hub, efficiently connecting stage microphones and instruments to a central digital mixer via a single CAT 5e cable using the AES50 networking protocol. It features 16 remote-controllable preamps for clean microphone amplification and 8 balanced XLR outputs for monitor or main feeds, all managed remotely from the mixing console. Furthermore, its Ultranet integration allows for a simplified distribution of up to 16 channels of digital audio to personal monitor mixers on stage.

Early feedback highlights significant improvements in speech intelligibility, system headroom, and audience listening comfort. The upgrade replaces legacy equipment and positions the Ceremony Hall for future AV expansion while ensuring reliable day-to-day operation.
For ILKKM Sultan Azlan Shah, the integration of the Topp Pro ecosystem—paired with the versatility of the WING mixer—marks a strong step forward in modernizing its event infrastructure and meeting the growing technical demands of institutional functions.
