This project brings us to a fashion lifestyle boutique. Being an unique fashion store, there is requirement for the sound system to be able to match the tastefully furnished interior of the boutique. The requirement for audio quality is no less either. The store owner wanted something warm and cozy to listen, blend into the atmosphere and provide an unusual experience to the patronage.

Using satellite box speaker in distributed manner, we were about to satisfy both the design and the sound quality of the owner. The outlook that look like an "alien" head (we called this internally due to resemblance of alien in the movie Alien) looks futuristically designed compare to most of the box speaker system that are rectangular in shape without any curve. Nothing wrong with these rectangular box speaker but they are bland for the owner's taste.

Sound quality is top notch. Everyone was impress and felt in love in first hearing. That's a good sign since we have two of the requirements ticked. Next we must ensure the whole store is evenly distributed. We make sure there is no area left behind and no matter where the customer are, they are showered with the highest quality audio. The distribution of the speaker is carefully calculated. With the aim to achieve even sounding is every square inch of the store, we calculated the optimum distance between each speaker installation points, the suitable height for the speaker and the tilt angle of the speakers. While these seems easy on paper, in fact many engineering calculation has taken place to reduce overlapping between speaker. Reducing overlapping will reduce a phenomenon called comb filters (a nasty interference between 2 speakers) and reduce investment of owner without over-spec the quantity needed. Suitable height is needed so the speaker is not too far away and not too near. Titling angle is needed to ensure the speaker is directed to the people and not the wall or ceiling.

We are using one digital loudspeaker management to regulate the audio signal and ensure it is always optimized and protected from human error (example: over powering is protected with limiter). The whole premises sound is being custom tuned by our engineer with SMAART audio frequencies measurement software to ensure the most coherent and transparent sounding being achieved. Finally, DJ Mixer and player are the equipments used for the mixing and source player. While it looks like simple project installation, but in fact, is a very high engineering valued job that we have delivered to the store owner.
